The fund is passively managed. The aim is to reflect the performance of the FTSE US Treasury Short Duration Index (index). The index reflects the performance of tradable debt (bonds) denominated in US Dollars issued by the US government. The composition of the index is rebalanced according to a pre-set methodology. For bonds to be included in the index they must have a time to maturity of between one month and one year for fixed-rate securities, and between one month and three years for floating-rate securities. All bonds require a minimum amount outstanding of USD 5 billion in order to be eligible for inclusion in the index.
