The investment objective of the Fund is to achieve the performance of the S&P SmallCap 600 Index (the Reference Index) less fees, expenses and transaction costs. The Index is an index of listed equities which focuses on the small cap segment of the US market. The Index contains the smallest 600 companies from the S&P 1500 composite index, which is the largest 1500 companies in the US market. It includes 600 US companies listed on NYSE, NASDAQ, Investors Exchange or CBOE. The Fund does this through the use of unfunded swaps (Swaps).
