The Fund is passively managed and seeks to provide income and capital growth over the longer term and aims to achieve investment results that closely correspond, before fees and expenses, to the performance of the FTSE Goldman Sachs China Government Bond Index (the Index). The Index is designed to measure the performance of fixed-rate government bonds issued in mainland China which includes fixed-rate book-entry government bonds but excludes zero-coupon bonds, saving bonds, special government bonds, bonds whose maturity is greater than 30-years, and bonds issued prior to January 1, 2005.
