The Portfolio seeks to achieve capital appreciation. The Portfolio will principally invest directly or indirectly in equity securities of companies domiciled in North America or which have significant North American operations. The Portfolio may secondarily invest in markets other than in North America. The Portfolios exposure to any of these markets may be gained through both long and short positions.
