The Fund's principal investment objective is to provide long-term capital appreciation. The Fund invests primarily in transferable equity securities as well as depository receipts of small-cap companies which are incorporated in the Asia region, and/or which have their principal business activities in the Asia region. Furthermore, for the purpose of the Fund's investment objective, Asian small-cap companies are those having a market capitalisation at the time of initial purchase within the range of the market capitalisations of companies included in the MSCI AC Asia ex-Japan Small Cap Index.
