The Fund's investment objective is capital appreciation. It seeks to achieve its objective by investing primarily in listed equity securities of issuers organized under the laws of, or with their principal activities within, the countries of Eastern Europe, as well as the New Independent States, e.g. the countries in Europe and Asia that were formerly part of or under the influence of the Soviet Union in the past (the Region).
